 Today we had our final set of notes! We had a look at Electrorefining and other electrochem applications. After the note, you read Sec. 5.11 & 5.12 and worked on practice pg. 246 #77. In the second half we looked at our last quick question (ever!) and then did a unit 5 recap. You also received the Unit 5 Practice Review (here is the answer key).

Sci 8: Wed Jun 3 - Optics Test + Tectonics Evidence

 Today you wrote the Unit 4: Optics test (Yay!). After break we learned about the Marianas Trench, and we also worked through some of the evidence and explanation for plate movement (2 more pages in your notes booklet!). We talked through this animation of mantle convection and you worked on the Plate Tectonics Assignment (due Friday!).

 Today we introduced Unit 5: Plate Tectonics. You worked through the first few pages of the Notes Booklet using The powerpoint on the Structure of the Earth and the one for Plate Tectonics. Optics Review due tomorrow before the test!
