Today investigated the Electromagnetic Spectrum. You read pgs. 152 - 160 in your textbook, then you summarized the key ideas on this notes sheet (here's the summary we did together). We also had a look at an infrared camera and this video on the history of light, and the Electromagnetic Spectrum.

Today we had a deeper look at how computers do Input, Storage, Processing, and Output. Then you had a chance to do the What is a Computer Project (Toaster vs. Computer).

We had a couple of J.o.W questions, and then you had some practice: pg. 76 #3 - 7, pg. 77 #8 -17, pg. 83 #21,22,24, and pg. 87 #25. Do what you need to master this stuff!

We jotted a couple of notes about beneficial microbes, and then we learned how to play the game Pandemic!

Today we kicked off Unit 2: Equilibrium. We took some Notes and had a look graphs of [ ] vs time and Rates vs time using the data on pgs. 40 & 41 of the textbook. We also used this demo to see how the forward and reverse reactions are still happening at equilibrium, they just balance out.

After our Quick Questions we did a Tour of the Textbook. Then in the second half, we brainstormed some safety ideas, worked through this Safety T/F, and then discussed how science is about our best guesses!

Welcome to Chem 12! Today we did a quick intro to the course with the course outline. You also picked up your textbooks and databooklet. We also had a few minutes to talk about what you'll need from Chem 11 in order to succeed in Chem 12!
