Sci 8: Wed Feb 4 - Alka Seltzer Lab and Unit 1 Intro

Today you did the Alka Selzter Lab as a first experiment using the Scientific Method. After we discussed how to complete your lab report, we did some Jar of Wonder! To end off the class, we had a look at the Key Questions for Unit 1, watched some animated examples of cell machinery, and then you used pg. 10 of the textbook to complete this chart on the characteristics of living things.

 Today you got time to do Lab 18C. Here is the class data. Please finish the lab for MONDAY.

Chem 12: Tues Feb 3 - KE distributions

 Today we took some notes on Kinetic Energy Distributions. After that, you had some practice problems on pg. 16 #24-28 (last days questions), pg. 19 #29 - 30, and pg. 23 #34 - 40. At the end of class we had a quick look at what you need in a lab report to prep us for Lab 18C tomorrow.

Sci 8: Tues Feb 3 - You Assignment and Lab Reports

 Today we spent some time getting to know each other. You had a chance to learn about Mr. B. and then you got to do the You Assignment (see questions below). After that, we had a look at how your lab reports will be formatted. You Assignment questions:

HS 101: Mon Feb 2 - What is a computer and some work time.

 Today we did our QQ and typing practice; after that we discussed what makes a computer a computer? Then you had some work time on your projects (Using OneNote & Organizing your files).

Chem 12: Mon Feb 2 - Rates Assignment and Energy in Rxns

 Today you had some time to work on the Rates Assignment and then we took some notes on Energy in Rxns (similar to sec. 1.6).

Sci 8: Mon Feb 2 - Science Equipment and Experimental Questions

 Today you had a look at a whole bunch of different science equipment. After that, you were given some "experimental questions" and you had to form a hypothesis, list out variables, and plan how you could test your hypothesis while keeping control of the variables.
