Today we did a quick recap of Chem 11 using some old final exam questions. After that we took some intro notes about the Key Questions of the course, and then started in on Unit 1: Reaction Kinetics. We took notes on Sec 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 with practice questions on pg. 2 #1-5 and pg. 8 - 10 #12 - 17.

Sci 8: Wed Jan 28 - Textbook tour, Safety, and Science!
After our Quick Questions we did a Tour of the Textbook. Then in the second half, we brainstormed some safety ideas, worked through this Safety T/F, and then discussed how science is about our best guesses!

Today we had a look at what High School 101 is all about. We discussed the course outline and the general expectations of the class. Then we got you set up with your digital notebook and computer settings.

Welcome to Chem 12! Today we did a quick intro to the course with the course outline. You also picked up your textbooks and databooklet. We also had a few minutes to talk about what you'll need from Chem 11 in order to succeed in Chem 12!
